Profilo storico e scopi istituzionali
Eclettica-Cultura dell’Arte si costituisce associazione culturale nel 2003 con l’intento no profit di promuovere l’arte contemporanea, declinandola in linguaggi multimediali e ponendola in dialogo con il territorio in cui ha sede, l’ambito nazionale e internazionale. Svolge ricerca sperimentale con ambiti affini, quali archeologia, editoria, cinematografia, spettacolo, turismo, creando nuove modalità di network tra enti istituzionali quali regione, soprintendenze, enti locali, associazioni, fondazioni, università e accademie, curatori, artisti, musei e gallerie, in Italia e all’estero. ECLETTICA è nell’ATS che gestisce il laboratorio urbano GOS-Distillerie Culturali a Barletta; è associata a FEDERCULTURE e al DISTRETTO PRODUTTIVO PUGLIA CREATIVA; collabora con A/POLITICAL con sede a Londra.
Cariche istituzionali
Direttrice artistica e fondatrice è la storica dell’arte e curatrice Giusy Caroppo; dal 2016, presidente dell’Associazione è lo scultore e manager culturale Stefano Faccini. Del Comitato scientifico fanno parte, tra gli altri, Barbara De Coninck, storica dell’arte, curatrice, performer, già managing director di Troubleyn (1995-2001)/ Angelos (2002-2018); Marco Petroni, teorico e critico del design e docente presso l’ABA di Napoli; Valeria Bottalico, manager dell’accessibilità, consulente del Guggenheim di Venezia e co-curatrice dell’Evento Collaterale “La Venezia che non si vede”.

Historic Profile and Institutional Purposes
Eclettica-Cultura dell’Arte was founded as a nonprofit cultural association in 2003 with the aim of promoting contemporary art, expressing it through multimedia languages and establishing a dialogue with its local community, both nationally and internationally. It conducts experimental research in related fields, such as archaeology, publishing, cinematography, entertainment, and tourism, creating new networking opportunities among institutional bodies such as the regional government, superintendencies, local authorities, associations, foundations, universities and academies, curators, artists, museums, and galleries, both in Italy and abroad. ECLETTICA is part of the ATS that manages the urban laboratory GOS-Distillerie Culturali in Barletta; it is associated with FEDERCULTURE and the DISTRETTO PRODUTTIVO PUGLIA CREATIVA; and it collaborates with A/POLITICAL, based in London.
Institutional Roles
The artistic director and founder is art historian and curator Giusy Caroppo; since 2016, the Association’s president has been Stefano Faccini, sculptor and cultural manager. The Scientific Committee includes, among others, Barbara De Coninck, art historian, curator, and performer, already managing director of Troubleyn (1995-2001) and Angelos (2002-2018); Marco Petroni, theorist and critic of design and professor at the AFA in Naples; and Valeria Bottalico, accessibility manager, consultant to the Guggenheim in Venice, and co-curator of the Collateral Event “La Venezia che non si vede”.
